CANOPY TOUR
This Canopy is a project designed not only as an extreme adventure, but a way to enjoy nature without harming the environment. Our property boasts spectacular views of the Herradura bay and Island, as well as the Nicoya Gulf.
Within the property, you will have the opportunity to view the Scarlet Macaws, Chest nut mandible Toucans and white-face monkeys. The property rests on 80 acres of land... 50% of which is primary forest, where the canopy is located.
The adventure starts on a 15 minute ride aboard our specially designed 40 passenger tractor. Once we arrive to the top of the mountain we then descend to the bottom via a series of zip lines, including 15 platforms and 14 cables with a total cable distance of 3.5 kilometer including the longest cable in the area of 2400 ft!!!!
Join us on a wonderful nature walk for all ages; explore along
with our tour guides the ancestral uses of medicinal plants, how vines grow, which tree barks are poisonous and how to survive by eating local plants.
Also walk through our plantation and get a taste of organic grown papayas, bananas and many other fruits.
This tour is offered in our transitional forest, this is a mixture between the dry forest in the north pacific and the rainforest in the south pacific, which has some of the richest biodiversity of flora and fauna in Costa Rica, and is way we commonly spot wild life such as, toucans, white faced monkeys and scarlet macaws.
